Olympics, social media and education

Just a quick update as the curling action at the Olympics has started for the USA Women. I interviewed Tracy Sachtjen who is the 5th on the team competing at the Vancouver BC 2010 Olympics.  The community of Lodi WI and Tracy have been very involved with teaching the kids about the Olympics, setting goals and using new tools to communicate.

Tracy's son Desmon and his 3/4th grade multi age class have been researching the Olympics and when Desmon travels to Vancouver next week he will be the on the scene reporter using Skype.  Here is my recent interview with Tracy on this topic  as well as NBC15 video interview of Brenda Autz, 3/4th grade teacher and of course Desmon Sachtjen.
